Ever since I was a baby, I've been a huge fan of Dad's Economist magazines. I often rip up the pages and roll around in them so that I can truly absorb a well-rounded view of world events. I find that this helps give me a sophisticated, rather British, global perspective.

I also like Mom's etiquette books. I find that these help me be a more refined, genteel Maxie. Like most etiquette fans, I find Emily Post to be the gold standard.Sometimes I'm so excited when my parents return from Barnes and Noble that I rip into the bag in my haste to learn new things.
It's all part of being a gentleman and a scholar, y'all.
Maxie.
